What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a small "anchor" made of titanium. It is inserted into the jawbone to take the place of your missing tooth root. After Osseointegration, or when the surrounding bone has attached to the implant, a replacement tooth is secured to the top of the implant. The new tooth looks, feels, and performs just like your natural teeth.
Dental implants can be used in a variety of situations, whether you need to replace a single missing tooth or many teeth. They can even be used to replace a full denture. As anchor points, implants can also securely attach a partial denture or bridge.
What are the benefits to dental implants?
More healthful and beautiful appearance: When teeth are missing, the surrounding jaw bone begins to shrink. This unhealthy bone loss can make your jawline recede. Dental implants can help prevent deterioration of the jawbone caused by loss of teeth, so your face retains its natural shape.
Protect your healthy teeth: as an alternative to bridgework, dental implants eliminate the need to grind down healthy teeth when replacing one or more adjacent teeth.
No Cavities: Dental implants do not get cavities and are long lasting. Dental implants can last your entire life if properly maintained.
More comfortable: Because dental implants are securely anchored, there is no slipping or movement as there is with dentures. This eliminates some of the key worries of dentures, including poor fit, gum irritation, and pain from sore spots
More confident: With dental implants, you will never need to cover your mouth when laughing, smiling, or speaking. You can eat your favorite foods without pain or fear of embarrassment - and taste every bite. You will look better, feel better, and live more confidently.
These are just a few examples of how dental implants can benefit you. Please call 732-264-2888 for a complimentary consultation to see if you are a good candidate for dental implants.
What is it? And what does it do?
Nitrous oxide better known as “Laughing gas,” is an option Dr. Aydin or Dr. Mossad may offer to help make you more comfortable during certain procedures. For anxious or nervous patients we offer nitrous oxide better known as "laughing gas." Nitrous oxide is a very safe and effective anti-anxiety gas that is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose to help you relax. Within a couple minutes you will begin to feel calm and relaxed. The effects of laughing gas are readily reversible by simply breathing the room air from your mouth.
You will be able to hear and respond to any requests or directions the dentist may have. You simply breathe normally through your nose, and within a few short minutes you should start to feel the effects. You may feel light-headed or a tingling in your arms and legs and some patients may feel sleepy. Some people say their arms and legs feel heavy as well. Ultimately, you should feel calm and comfortable. The effects of the gas wear off soon after the mask is removed and breathing room air. There is no after effects and you will feel completely normal once the procedure has been completed.
How is nitrous oxide administered?
The equipment used for delivering “laughing gas” is very simple. It consists of a supply of compressed gases and an apparatus which delivers the gases to the patient through a nose mask.
The desired mix is fed through a tube to which a nose mask or cannula is attached. All you have to do now is breathe normally through your nose. Dr. Mossad and Aydin will titrate your levels to ensure you are comfortable throughout the procedure.
Once your procedure is completed you will be given 100% oxygen to reverse the effects of the laughing gas. You will then feel completely normal and can continue with the rest of your day.
Consult with Dr. Mossad or Dr. Aydin today about whether nitrous oxide would be a good option for you.
Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you.
There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won't even know you're straightening your teeth.
We perform various oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, from routine extractions to surgical extractions. Bone grafting procedures are also offered if you elect to replace your missing teeth with a dental implant. We also offer nitrous oxide, better known as "laughing gas", for our nervous dental patients.

Root canal therapy is used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.
Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form. This can lead to a dental infection and pain. We always encourage regular dental checkups and cleanings to help prevent decay that sometimes can lead to the need for root canal therapy.
